WRGA has learned through a source within the Georgia Department of Economic Development that Austrian metal-forming company ‘voestalpine’ (VOSTAL-PEE-NAA) will be holding the official groundbreaking ceremony for their new manufacturing plant in Cartersville on Wednesday November 14th at 2 pm.
Governor Nathan Deal announced ‘voestalpine’s’ intentions to build the new facility in August, which will bring with it 220 jobs and an investment of more than $60,000,000. The plant will also serve as a long-awaited cornerstone company for the Highlands-75 industrial park in Bartow County, a development located off Cass-White Road which has been ready to accept tenants for several years, but found the sluggish economy an obstacle to attracting customers.
The date and time for the groundbreaking ceremony is subject to change.
