Rome City Police arrested a man after he allegedly threatened to stab someone inside Mellow Mushroom Saturday night.

According to police, Benjamin Wayne Strawn, age 32 of Lyerly, picked up one of the knives at the downtown pizza place and told one of his fellow customers that he would stab him. Authorities say Strawn was extremely drunk and smelling strongly of an alcohol. He was arrested sometime after 11pm, but before officers could take him out, Strawn informed another pizza patron that he would kill him and his family. Strawn was taken to the Floyd County Jail where he was charged with felony aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts and public drunkeness.
