Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap has announced the arrest of an Adairsville man on multiple felony charges including Kidnapping after a domestic dispute evolved into a two day manhunt.
In a bizarre incident Rhonald Dean Hyde, age 44, is accused of holding a female victim hostage in the woods from Wednesday night until late Thursday morning. Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in Adairsville off Highway 140 where Hyde had allegedly become violent with the victim, 43-year-old Sherry Marrero, who witnesses told officers had been grabbed by her hair and drug into the woods. Despite the use of K-9 search dogs officers could not find Hyde and Marrero and eventually ended the search. Thursday morning they finally tracked Hyde down at an abandoned home and arrested him.
Hyde is charged with Kidnapping and Burglary and remained in the Bartow County Jail on Friday.
