A man and a woman from Bartow County have been charged with murder in-connection with the Sunday discovery of their dead roommate.
According to a prepared statement from Bartow County Sherriff Clark Millsap, officers found the body of 47-year-old Danny Lamar Gravely in the bed of his truck on Sunday morning in Emerson on Red Top Road. An investigation revealed that Gravely had been shot once in the back of the head at another location. Police searched his Dogwood Place residence in Cartersville and found evidence that led them to believe his murder had occurred there Saturday night, at the hands of his roommates; Tammy Lynn Murphy, age 50, and Steven Mark Eller, age 45. Investigators believe Gravely’s alleged murder stemmed from an argument between the three.
Both Murphy and Eller face a host of charges, including Murder, Tampering with Evidence and Concealing the Death of a Person. They are being held in the Bartow County Jail without bond pending a superior court hearing.
