For three years, Buddy Bagley and his cancer-stricken wife Darlene have hosted a motorcycle ride benefit for Cancer Navigators. Though this year’s trek remains mostly unchanged, it will be Buddy’s toughest yet---his riding partner will not be there.
The summer ride, which is slated for this Saturday, will be in-honor of Darlene, who passed away on April 1st. The path will make a detour around her grave, Buddy says, to pay tribute to her one last time.
“This will be in memory of her---everything we do will be in memory of my wife,” Buddy says. “Maybe you don’t have anybody in your family [with cancer], but there’s a great chance that, down the road, you will know somebody or somebody in your family will be touched by this dreaded disease.
“So, please, if you would, come and support us so we can support Cancer Navigators to help them help other folks.”
Registration for the ride will kick-off in Adairsville at Logtown on South Main St at 9am. Kickstands go up at 10am. Afterwards, attendees may enjoy food, door prizes and an auction.
All proceeds raised go towards Cancer Navigators---a nonprofit that serves cancer patients and their families all across Northwest Georgia.
