An Alabama teen was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle accident with a tractor trailer.
According to Weis News Radio, the collision occurred on Highway 411 in Centre at its intersection with County Road 34, fatally injuring 18-year-old Megan Rose Douglas of Centre. Douglas was the passenger in a 2012 Volvo which collided with an 18-wheeler.
Though investigators have not released who exactly hit who, a nearby bystander says he heard the big rig’s horn followed by the two vehicle’s collision. He also reportedly heard the truck slam into a ditch.
Traffic was backed up along the road for most of the day as Emergency Crews worked the scene. The wreck is still under investigation.
