The Polk County Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee is hosting a Political Forum for candidates of Cedartown City Commission this week.

Both incumbents for Cedartown Commission, Johnny Barrett and Larry Odom will be in attendance. Challengers vying for the three seats up for election include Matt Foster, Jordan Hubbard, Ray Merritt, Steve Molock and Frankie Wheeler.

Chamber Executive Director Tameka Hudson says those wishing to ask candidates questions must submit them in writing prior to the forum.

“We’ll have cards for everyone at a table when they come in,” said Hudson. “When you come in, you get a card and you can ask more than one question if you want to, write out your question and then hand it to someone who sorts them...We’ll try to get as much information in as possible.”

The Forum is open to the public and will be held at the Polk County Commission Meeting Room at the Polk County Police Department from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday.
