The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a flood warning for Armuchee Creek in Armuchee until further notice.
Flood stage is considered 19 feet, and the creek was measured at 17.5 feet and rising at 1:45pm. The weather service says to expect flooding in the fields and pastures along the creek and downstream from the Gage on Old Dalton Rd.
Earlier today, the steady rain in Northwest Georgia prompted the National Weather Service to issue a flood warning for the Oostanaula River from Calhoun to Rome. At last measure, it was at 18.3 feet and rising.
