Floyd County Police have arrested four people in-connection with an armed robbery of a convenience store employee Tuesday night.
According to records at the Floyd County Jail, the Rome residents are facing multiple felony charges including aggravated assault and false imprisonment after they reportedly ambushed a Northridge Stop-and-Shop employee around midnight on Tuesday.
Authorities allege that 24-year-old Kaitlynn Morgan held the victim at gunpoint while 26-year-old Michael Chastain, 23-year-old Jamal Jasper and Matthew Warren tied the man’s hands behind his back near Wayside and Mango rd. The suspects are then believed to have struck him on the back of his head with the pistol and beaten him, leaving bruises.
The four made off with his money and identification along with other unnamed items.
They remain in the Floyd County Jail.
Four people have been jailed in Floyd County and charged with a slew of felonies after an armed robbery which allegedly took place at the Northridge Stop-and-Shop on Tuesday night.
Taken into custody were Kaitlynn Morgan, age 24, and Matthew Warren, age 23, both of East 10th Street. Jamal Jasper, age 23 of Calhoun Road and Michael Chastain, age 26 of Shamrock Way were also arrested.
Kaitlynn Morgan is believed to have held the victim at gunpoint as cash and other items were stolen from the business.
All four suspects face numerous felony charges including Aggravated Assault, False Imprisonment and Armed Robbery. The quartet is also charged with Battery.
The arrests were made by Floyd County Police.
