Rome City Police have released a photo of one of the suspects believed to have robbed a South Rome convenience store this past weekend.
Authorities claim two black males wearing hoodies and bandanas over their faces held a store clerk at the Big H convenience Store on East Main St. at knife point. The pair reportedly cornered the employee around 11pm last Friday as he was closing up and demanded he open the coin slots on the laundry machines there. When the victim explained he didn’t know how, the two instead took money from the register, a couple of phone cards and fled.
The photo was captured by surveillance footage of the store that night.
If you have any information regarding the armed robbery or you recognize the man in the picture, call Detective Chris Arrington at 706-238-5126.
