The Salvation Army Store in West Rome will be closing its doors forever this Friday.
According to the Salvation Army’s Facebook Page
, tough economic times are to blame for the store’s closure, which has stood off of Shorter Avenue in West Rome for 12 years. Their central store on 2nd Avenue will remain open, and will undergo renovations in coming months to make room for more merchandise.
Due to staff restructuring, the charity group was thankfully able to offer a position to each team member that wished to remain in the company.
The Salvation Army relies on the sales from their stores to fund their many programs, and everything that is donated to a Rome store, is sold in a Rome store.
