Everett Spring water line extension gets EPD approval
August 11, 2017--7:47 a.m.
The 2013 SPLOST project designed to extend water lines to the Everett Spring community in northern Floyd County received approval from the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) on August 7, 2017.
The EPD requires a comment period that expired in July allowing citizens to voice their concerns in regards to possible environmental or archeological issues.
The letter received on Monday approved the project planning document and allows the project to proceed.
Earlier this spring, the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) approved a low-interest loan up to an amount of $8,710,605.00 to start construction on the project.
Williams, Sweitzer, & Barnum, Inc., is serving as the project engineer.
A proposed timeline is below.
