Multiple charges for a Rome man

A Rome man was arrested on multiple charges including burglary and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 27-year old Brandon Lewis McGlotha of an East 15th Street address was captured on in-store surveillance forcibly entering the Maple Grocery on Maple Street in Rome and stealing an undetermined amount of lottery tickets.

McGlotha was later found by police in possession of the lottery tickets along with multiple bags of marijuana packaged for resale.

McGlotha fled from offices and intentionally hit a Floyd County Sheriff’s patrol car.

Some of the charges McGlotha faces are burglary, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, hit and run, fleeing and attempting to elude an officer. __________________________________________________________________________________________________

An Aragon man is housed in the Floyd County Jail on charges of Terroristic Threats.

According to Floyd County Reports, 38-year old Jason Buffington Edward of a Wax Road address told the women he lives with that if he goes to jail he will kill her upon his release.

Edward struck the victim in the face and left visible marks.

He is charged with Battery and Terroristic Threats and remains in the Floyd County Jail.
