Man indicted on child molestation charge

A Floyd County Grand Jury has indicted a Cedartown man on child molestation charges.
According to previous reports, 30-year old Casey Shane Holcomb was arrested in October on a charge of aggravated sexual battery.
The child molestation charge was filed about a week later.
The incident, involving a 14-year old female, occurred on Doyle Road back on July 24, according to police.
Meanwhile, a 28-year old Rome man was indicted Friday on aggravated assault charges.
Previous reports state that 28-year old Zachary Daniel Patrick attempted to strike a man with an ax at a home on Baker Road last month.
Also Friday, the Grand Jury handed down an indictment against a Canton woman arrested in September for aggravated assault on a police officer.
According to previous reports, 36-year old Keisha Helene Taylor almost struck a Floyd County Police Officer with her vehicle.
The officer had to move out of the way in order to avoid being hit.
Meanwhile, Christopher R. Perry, who was arrested for allegedly pointing a firearm at two police officers at his New Rosedale Road home, was also indicted Friday.
