Man arrested in two-year-old arson case

A 21-year old Rome man was arrested Tuesday, accused of entering a home on West 10th Street and setting it on fire more than two years ago.

According to arrest warrants on file at the Floyd County Jail, Angel Miguel Martinez, of a Woodbine Avenue address, also stole a Smith and Wesson .357 Magnum from the victim.

The alleged incident occurred between October 6 and 13 of 2015, according to the warrants.

Martinez is charged with 1st-degree arson, burglary and felony theft by taking.
