Black History Month program next week

February 14, 2018--7:50 a.m.

On February 12, at the Rome City Commissioner’s meeting, Stephanie Dean shared the details of a Black History production hosted by Rome City Schools.

The production will be held at the Rome City Auditorium on February 21 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Admission to the public is free of charge.

Rome Middle and High School will host two additional shows for RCS students at the Rome High School Auditorium earlier that day.

Dean, the organizer for the event, gave commissioners a preview of what they can expect at the show.

Students and faculty will showcase “Black Excellence” by performing musical numbers that highlight African American
moguls, movies, and music.

Guests can look forward to poetry, reenactments and musical performances by RCS students, community members, and staff.

Save the date, and come out to help Rome City Schools celebrate Black History Month with what is sure to be an entertaining stage show.
