Driver in Deadly '17 Crash Pleads Guilty, Admits to Using Meth

A Trion man responsible for a deadly accident back in 2017 has not pleaded guilty to first-degree vehicular homicide and DUI.
41-year-old Brandon Heath Drennan pleaded guilty to the two charges recently in a Chattooga County Court Room. Drennan admitted responsibility for the April 2017 car wreck that killed local pastor Lavonne Humphrey on Hwy. 100 near Holland-Chattoogaville Road.
The Trion native also confessed that he was high on methamphetamine when the wreck occurred, and had already racked up seven DUIs in which six were in Chattooga County. 
He will serve seven years in prison and eight years of probation.
