Woman charged with burglary

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 21-year old Rome woman was jailed Thursday on a felony warrant charging her with burglary.

According to the warrant, Randi Michelle Willis of an Old Dalton Road address entered the bedroom of a residence on Covered Springs Drive in Rome and took a safe belonging to the victim.

The incident occurred July 9, according to the warrant.
 

 

Man arrested after police find Ecstasy

A Rockmart man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Thursday on drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Timothy L. Chapman of an Old Cedartown Road address was stopped on Dodd Boulevard at Cartersville Highway for no tag light.

A free air sniff of the vehicle was conducted by a K-9 and the dog hit on something.

Seven Ecstasy pills were found in Chapman’s pockets, according to the report.

He is charged with possession of a controlled substance as well as possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

 

Alabama man facing charges in Floyd County

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A Gadsden man was transferred from the Calhoun County, Alabama Jail to the Floyd County Jail Thursday on warrants charging him with theft by receiving stolen property, concealing the identity of a vehicle and fleeing or attempting to elude.

57-year old Joie Lana Gowens is also charged with failure to obey a traffic control device and driving without a license.

No additional details were available at the jail Friday morning.
