Man arrested after allegedly running from police

A 27-year old Silver Creek man is facing a long list of charges after allegedly running from police early Tuesday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Scotty Michael Craig of an Old Rockmart Road address was found in the area of Mark Grove Road and Booze Mountain Road where there was a ‘suspicious person’ call.

Craig reportedly dropped a bag and when the officer asked about the item, Craig fled on foot.

The bag contained methamphetamine, a digital scale, and a small spoon.

In addition to charges of possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, loitering or prowling, and obstruction of officers, Craig is also charged in connection with an incident on September 28 on Willingham Street.

According to the arrest warrant, he fled the scene of an accident.

He is charged with failure to report an accident, reckless driving, driving without a license, and driving too fast for conditions in connection with that incident.

 

Man charged with false imprisonment

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 58-year old Rome man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Monday on a felony count of false imprisonment.

According to jail records, Jeffrey Stuart Price was arrested at his North Broad Street residence.

No additional information was available at the jail.

 

 

Woman facing meth possession charge

January 9, 2019--10:39 a.m.

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 31-year old Rome woman was arrested on drug charges at her Grasul Avenue home Tuesday morning.

According to Floyd County Jail records, police found a baggie of meth and multiple syringes in the apartment.

Nicole Lucille Rinker was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug-related objects.
