A Bartow County Schools bus driver is charged with driving under the influence.
No children were on the bus.
Sharon McCready Fisher was arrested Monday by Emerson Police and charged with driving under the influence of drugs.
Emerson Police Chief, Kyle Teems told WBHF that an officer noticed a bus failing to maintain its lane Monday afternoon.
The bus was travelling dangerously close to other vehicles.
Officers stopped the bus and performed a field sobriety test on Fisher.
She was found to be under the influence of drugs. Teems says no children were on the bus at the time of the arrest.
Bartow County School Officials say that they are “diligently looking into this personnel matter that is also under investigation by an outside agency.”
A bond of $2,924 was set and Fisher bonded out of jail Tuesday afternoon.
