Rome Man Arrested on an Abundance of Charges

A Rome man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Monday on an abundance of charges.
According to Jail Reports, 39-year-old Dusty Lee Hancock of Robin Hood Road was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine after he wrecked his car into a ditch within 1000 feet of East Central Elementary School.
The report states that Hancock allegedly threw a container containing suspected meth, plastic bags and a scale, as well a 9mm handgun out of his vehicle in an attempt to hide the items from officers.
He is charged with loud music, improper use of center turn lane, driving while license is revoked, DUI drugs, possession of meth, possession of meth with intent, abandonment of dangerous drugs, possession with intent near a school, possession of drug related objects, two counts of tampering with evidence, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.
