From Rome police reports

A week after lottery tickets were taken in a burglary on Dean Avenue another convenience store reported tickets were stolen.

According to a Rome police report, officers responded to a burglary call at Dean Mini Mart, 1519 Dean Avenue, on Sunday and learned that someone had thrown a cement block in the window and got inside.

The thief took three plastic towers containing several rolls of lottery tickets.

Video surveillance showed a suspect wearing a dark hoodie and light pants with work boots.

On New Year’s Day someone broke into Rick’s Little Garden, also located on Dean Avenue, and took two rolls of lottery tickets valued at more than $2,000. The thief got inside by shattering the front door glass with a rock, according to a report.
