Report: Man caused ruckus at local hospital

A Rome man is facing felony obstruction charges in connection with an incident that happened last year at Floyd Medical Center.
According to warrants at the Floyd County Jail, 36-year-old Andrew William Fowler of Old Bells Ferry Road is accused of hitting and kicking a police officer. He also ripped open the front of the officer’s uniform.
Fowler also was yelling and causing a scene in the emergency room, according to warrants.
In addition to the felony obstruction charge, he is charged with hindering emergency medical professionals and disorderly conduct.
