Vehicle leaves the road in a single-car crash on Highway 9
December 4, 2017, 3:34 p.m.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a serious single-vehicle accident shortly before 8:30 Monday morning on Highway 9 south between County Roads 178 and 18.
A car had left the roadway going around a curve and traveled down a steep embankment.
It’s unclear at this point if more than one person was injured in the mishap.
Those responding to the scene included Cherokee EMS, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Ellisville Fire Department, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Cherokee County EMA Director Shawn Rogers, and Alabama State Troopers.
