Georgia DPS: 13 have died in traffic crashes during the holiday

According to the Georgia Department of Public Safety, as of 6 p.m.Tuesday, there have been 13 fatal wrecks on the state's highways since the Christmas holiday travel period began at 6 p.m. Friday.
60-year old Roy C. McCary of Summerville died in a single-vehicle wreck on Turkey Mountain Road in Armuchee on Christmas Eve.
Meanwhile, two traffic fatalities have been reported by the Paulding County Post of the Georgia State Patrol.
Fatalities also occurred in Blue Ridge, Monroe, Cherokee County, Athens, Forrest Park, Milledgeville, Gwinnett County, Richmond County, and Waycross.
102-hour holiday travel period ended at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.
Final numbers from the Department of Public Safety are expected to be released later today.
