Weekend Pollen and Weather Forecast

April 5, 2019---5:00 P.M.

STAFF REPORTS

The weather and pollen forecast are directly connected, the pollen of spring affects 50 Million Americans. As the Spring temperatures and humidity rise, so does the pollen count.

So far this season, the main pollen contributors have been trees, which is the least common pollen to be allergic to. The pollen count friday was one of the highest in the country. Unfortuantely, the most common pollen allergen, grass pollen, is likely to ramp up this weekend.

The National Weather Service has a chance of rain for both Saturday and Sunday; if rain does fall, expect pollen counts to fall as well.

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms, nothing severe is expected.
