Man's strange behavior catches the attention of Adairsville Police

NEWS RELEASE

On Monday, Adairsville Police Officer Billy Smith along with Sergeant Jason Stargell observed a white male subject walking across Hwy. 41 acting in a strange manner.

The man, later identified as Kevin Sexton, was yelling at cars and waving his hands in the air in a very unusual manner.

Both Police Officers noticed Sexton was smoking a cigar and when he became aware of their presence, he immediately stuck the lit cigar in his jacket pocket.

When approached and questioned by the officers, Sexton advised it was a Marijuana Cigar.

Mr. Sexton also advised the Officers he had a pistol in his pocket.

The Marijuana Cigar, as well as a Jennings .22 caliber pistol, was taken and placed into evidence.

Sexton was arrested and charged with unlawful carrying of a concealed weapon and possession of misdemeanor Marijuana.
