25 deaths on Georgia roads during holiday

As of 6 p.m. Wednesday, 25 people had died in automobile accidents during the Christmas travel period, which began at 6 p.m. Friday.
The 25th fatality was investigated by the Georgia State Patrol Post 3 in Bartow County.
A Floyd County Prison inmate, 43-year-old Lester Robert Baker, died in an accident while working for the Cartersville Sanitation Department Wednesday afternoon.
Floyd County Police also investigated a fatal wreck, which occurred on Christmas Day on Highway 101 near the Polk County Line.
64-year old Billy Joe Rittenhouse lost his life in that single-vehicle wreck.
DeKalb County Police, Clayton County Police, Savannah PD, the Georgia State Patrol Post 26 in Monroe, and GSP Post 27 in Blue Ridge have each worked two fatal wrecks.
Clayton County Police, Atlanta Police, and Gwinnett County PD and the Columbia County Sheriff's Office have also investigated deadly crashes.
Deaths were also reported by the Georgia State Patrol Post 41 in Lafayette, Post 29 in Paulding County, Post 8 in Madison, Post 45 in Statesboro, Post 4 in Villa Rica, Post 42 in Rincon, and Post 20 in Dublin.
Final traffic numbers are expected to be released later today.
