Light, wintry mix possible this morning
December 27, 2017--4:37 a.m.
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
We could see a brief, light wintry mix this morning but whatever we do get in the way of precipitation, the impact will be minimal.
The National Weather Service says that we will see mostly a cold rain with some sleet mixing in.
The temperature is above freezing.
The entire system is expected to move out of the area by 8 a.m.
No accumulation is expected but you will still want to be careful on bridges and overpasses and in higher elevations.
Major travel issues are not anticipated.
Current radar does show some areas of pink and blue (signifying snow and sleet) over Northwest Georgia, but due to the dry air, most is evaporating before it falls.
