May 15, 2018--6:01 a.m.

CALHOUN POLICE REPORT

A PT Cruiser hits a man on a bicycle Sunday and both the driver and the bicyclist end up in jail.

According to Calhoun Police, 52-year old Damian Cabrera told officers he was hit as he crossed the intersection at River Street and West Line Street.

He added that the vehicle continued to drag him into the parking lot of Hi-Tech fuel.

The driver of the vehicle then went inside.

An officer located the woman, identified as 46-year old Christal M. Watkins, in the store.

She reportedly told the officer that she didn’t mean to hit the guy and that it was an accident, as she sat in a chair drinking water and eating ice cream.

The report states that Watkins was talking a lot of nonsense and couldn’t sit still.

Suspected methamphetamine and an open bottle of Vodka were found in her vehicle.

She is charged with possession of meth, DUI, hit and run, failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and open container.

Cabrera was charged with pedestrian under the influence.
