Korean solar company bringing 500-plus jobs to Dalton

Whitfield County will be getting a new business straight from Asia.
Hanwha Q CELLS Korea will create more than 500 jobs and invest $150 million in a new solar module manufacturing facility in Dalton, according to a press release from Gov. Nathan Deal.
The plant will be built in the Carbondale Business Park in the south end of Whitfield County. It will be the 184-acre park's second tenant.
Ground is expected to be broken in two to three weeks.
Hanwha Q CELLS Korea will produce high-performance and high-quality photovoltaic modules at the new facility. The facility is scheduled for completion in 2019.
