Traffic stop nets the arrest of Summerville man

From Floyd County Jail reports

A traffic stop on Martha Berry Highway Monday resulted in the arrest of a Summerville man on drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail reports, 36-year old Charlie William Hawkins had no valid insurance and it was discovered he was wanted for theft in Chattooga County.

Floyd County Police also reportedly found less than an ounce of marijuana, along with a glass smoking device containing suspected methamphetamine residue.

Hawkins is charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession, possession of drug related objects, possession of methamphetamine and driving without insurance.
