104.9 The Rebel mourns the loss of Jack Murphy

Earlier this week, Jack Murphy, who had been doing the morning news on 104.9 The Rebel for several years, passed away at the age of 68.

Jack, whose real name was Joe Formicola, was known for his unique delivery and his humorous take on the news, always ending it with the tagline “Now you know what I know.”

His radio career 47-years, and he was considered one of the top radio personalities in the country.

Formicola was scheduled to be inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame in Nashville on June 21.
