Main St in Cedartown will serve as the backdrop for a television pilot being filmed there tomorrow and Thursday.
Brooklyn is the working title of the show which is based upon the DC Comics series Watchmen.
“They have been here since May 14th and they have totally transformed a block or two of Main St. The premise of the pilot is set in the 1920s so they’ve really transformed the area back to what it really looked like in the 20’s.”
Aimee Madden with the city of Cedartown residents need to remember that traffic in the Main St. area will be diverted as well as surrounding streets.
“There will be a lot of special effects like gunfire and explosions and because of that, and because there’s going to be so many people included in these scenes they have asked people to not gather and watch filming. There’s really not going to be anything to see.”
“Hap and Leonard,” which airs on Sundance TV, was shot in the downtown area last year.
Back in 2011, a Billy Bob Thornton-produced movie, “Jayne Mansfield’s Car” was filmed in Cedartown.
