Rome man arrested on multiple charges

A 20-year old Rome man is facing a long list of charges following his arrest at his Mallard Court residence Monday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Ja-Khymbai Patrick Johnson caused over $3,000 in damage to an apartment on Crane Street belonging to the Northwest Georgia Housing Authority back on July 9.

Johnson also allegedly slapped a woman in the mouth, causing a cut inside her lip, broke both her cell phones as she attempted to call 911, and busted out the windshield of her vehicle.

He is charged with interference with government property, 1st and 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, criminal trespass, and battery in connection with the incident.

Johnson is also charged with aggravated assault, reckless conduct, pointing or aiming a gun or pistol at another, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, misdemeanor obstruction of officers, terroristic threats and acts, and aggravated stalking.

Two other people were arrested at the Mallard Court residence.

38-year old Phelicia T. Jackson and 44-year old Demarcus Treymain Jackson are both charged with hindering the apprehension of a criminal.
