Eastbound traffic on Highway 411 in Rome was backed up all the way to Walmart Wednesday morning after a truck hauling wood chips overturned.
According to Rome Police, the westbound truck skidded into the eastbound lanes where it overturned onto its side, spilling its load.
The driver told police that he had a problem with his brakes.
The Georgia Department of Public Safety’s Motor Carrier Compliance Division is investigating the exact cause.
Luckily, no other vehicles were involved.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital to get checked out but he is expected to be okay.
