Report: Fugitive arrested after fleeing from police

A man wanted by U.S. Marshals for a probation violation was arrested after allegedly fleeing from police early Saturday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Floyd County Police attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 28-year old James Francis Kubach of Centre, Alabama for failure to maintain a lane in the Beech Creek area.

Kubach fled, traveling more than 60 in a 40 mile per hour zone.

In addition to being wanted by U.S. Marshals, Kubach is also wanted in Cherokee County, Alabama for possession of dangerous drugs.

He is charged with fugitive from justice, fleeing or attempting to elude, reckless driving, too fast for conditions, driving with a suspended license and failure to maintain lane.
