Two jailed on aggravated child molestation charges

Two men were booked into the Floyd County Jail on New year’s Eve on warrants charging them with aggravated child molestation, sexual exploitation of children, electronic enticement of a child, and use of a computer service to lure a child into committing an illegal act.

According to the warrants, 36-year old Benjamin Michael Crump of Canton and 21-year old Noah Weston Clay of Rome made contact with someone they believed to be a child under the age of 16 on social media.

In both cases, the men arrived at an agreed-upon location with the intent of engaging in sexual acts.

Crump also allegedly asked for nude pictures of the child and sent nude pictures of himself.

He was additionally charged with furnishing obscene materials to minors.

Clay also reportedly asked for nude pictures of the child.
