Man cited in wreck that injured teen Wednesday night

A 62-year old man has been cited for failing to yield when entering the roadway in connection with a Wednesday night wreck on Shorter Avenue near Little Caesar’s.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, a 2001 Honda Civic driven by Antonio Lopez entered Shorter Avenue from a private drive and was struck by a 1985 Jeep, driven by 16-year old Mason McKenzie.

Both Lopez and McKenzie were taken to Floyd Medical Center for treatment.

Again, Lopez was cited.
