City Commission to discuss recycling center deficit Monday

The Rome City Commission will discuss the Rome-Floyd Recycling Center budget deficit when they meet Monday night.

For the period ending on September 30, 2019, the deficit was $377,802.01.

After 2013 SPLOST capital contributions and 2018 depreciation, $262,837.30 remains.

The city solid waste, city landfill, and the county will split that cost, each paying $87,612.43.

The city commission is also expected to approve rental rates for the Rome Civic Center, Rome City Auditorium, the Rome Senior Center and Rome Area History Museum during the meeting which begins at 6:30 at city hall.
