On Sunday the City of Rome and Floyd County prepared for a visit from the President of the United States, Donald Trump at the Richard B. Russell Airport.

This campaigning event, known as the “Make America Great Again Victory Rally,” came just two days before election day.

There were reports of hundreds of people gathering early to the presidential event to park all around the Armuchee area including the Mount Berry Mall, Armuchee High School, and even on the sides of the road US Hwy 27 North.

When it was time for the event to start, many local and state public figures (like Katie Dempsey, David Perdue, Sonny Perdue, etc) gave speeches while thousands of people gathered to watch and wait for the president’s plane to arrive.
