Floyd Behavioral Health –
Floyd Behavioral Health has launched several support groups to meet the mental health needs of community members close to home. These groups include:
Expressive Art Therapy for Teens – This group gives teens a place to express their emotions using different art forms. All materials are provided. The group meets every Thursday (except holidays) from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Registration is not Required.
Dementia/Alzheimer’s Support and Education Group – Meeting once a month, this group gives caregivers the opportunity to learn more about these diseases, helps them work through their feelings of grief and loss, and offers support from others going through the same life experience. Support group meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month (except holidays) from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Registration is not required.
Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous (AA/NA) – This weekly gathering provides an opportunity for anyone with a drinking problem or drug addiction to share experiences and encourage one another to overcome their addiction. AA/NA meetings are held weekly on Thursdays (except holidays) from 7 – 8 p.m. Registration is not required.
Al-Anon – This weekly support group is open to anyone whose life has been affected by another person’s drinking or drug use. Al-Anon meetings are held weekly on Thursdays (except holidays) from 7 – 8 p.m. Registration is not Required.
