Tropical Storm “Danny” potentially bringing heavy rainfall for NWGA

National Weather Service in Peachtree City – 

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has announced that a tropical depression has formed off the lower coast of South Carolina and is likely to become Tropical Storm “Danny” before making landfall.

“Danny” will track WNW into northern Georgia overnight tonight and also on Tuesday morning with areas of heavy rain.

The Portions of North Georgia that are expected to be affected include Bartow, Chattooga, Floyd, Gordon, Paulding, and Polk Counties.

Isolated flooding may occur in heavier rain bands. A few storms could become strong with gusty winds, locally heavy rainfall, and lightning being the primary threats.
