Man arrested after wrecking his vehicle, making threats

A man was arrested on multiple charges after wrecking his vehicle in the area of Lavender Trail on New Year’s Eve.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 35-year old Wesley Thomas Hardin of Rome tried to flee his wrecked and unregistered vehicle and went onto the property of another.

He then refused to leave the property after being told to do so.

Hardin lunged toward the victim and then told the man that he would return with a gun and shoot him.

Hardin then ran from the police and violently resisted.

He is charged with terroristic threats and acts, felony and misdemeanor obstruction,  simple assault, and criminal trespass as well as driving too fast for conditions, no insurance, driving without current license plates, failure to maintain a lane, and driving without a valid license.
