Rome City Commission meets Monday

The Rome City Commission will consider a number of agenda items when they meet Monday.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Rome City Hall.

A public hearing regarding a rezoning request for a townhouse development on East 1st Avenue will be conducted during the meeting.

Commissioners will also consider Unified Land Development Code text amendment to allow townhome and tri/duplexes along major streets, with restrictions.

Another public hearing pertains to a rezoning application for a 210 unit apartment complex on Woodrow Wilson Way is also on the agenda.

The commission will also consider re-adoption ULDC and zoning maps.

During the pre-meeting caucus, which begins at 5 p.m., the commission will hear from Dr. Courtney Cash regarding the Collective Impact Model for Rome.
