STAFF REPORTS
Floyd County Commissioners will conduct public hearings on several zoning matters when they meet tonight.
One of those is a rezoning request for the former McHenry School property.
The applicant is seeking to change the zoning at 100 McHenry Drive from Office-Industrial to General-Heavy-Commercial.
Both planning staff and the planning commission are recommending denial.
The commission is also set to vote on a recommendation from the Public Animal Welfare Services Director to approve an employment contract for a shelter veterinarian, and a recommendation from Public Works to approve the future closing of Rehoboth Road for a bridge replacement.
Also on the agenda is a recommendation from the Purchasing Department to approve $156,500 for the Etowah Skate Park renovation to be allocated in the 2022 budget from the 2017 SPLOST.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the County Administration building on 4th Avenue. The caucus begins at 4.
