Rome City Schools move back to phase one of COVID-19 plan

NEWS RELEASE

On Wednesday, February 9, Superintendent Louis Byars announced that all Rome City Schools will transition back to phase one of the system’s COVID-19 three-phase plan.

The transition back to phase one will begin tomorrow Thursday.

During phase one, all faculty, staff, and students on campus will follow the phase one protocol:

-RCS highly recommends that faculty, staff, and students wear a mask, however, it is not required.

Individual schools will communicate any additional details.

All Rome City Schools campuses will remain in phase one of the plan until otherwise noted. The system will communicate with parents, students, faculty, and staff with any changes.

Federal guidelines require all passengers, drivers, and monitors to wear masks while on a school bus.

RCS will continue to evaluate updates and provide guidance.
