NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for portions of central, north-central, northeast, northwest, and west-central Georgia from 11 a.m. Wednesday until 8 a.m. Thursday.
South winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
Additionally, due to the gusty winds and dry fuels, high fire danger conditions are expected across the area this afternoon and evening.
A line of showers and thunderstorms will move into the area tonight.
Several storms may become strong to severe during the overnight hours.
The primary threats with any severe storms will be damaging wind gusts, brief tornadoes, and heavy rain.
