Three people were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Maple at Hawthorne Street in Lindale on Saturday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, police found prescription pills, methamphetamine, and syringes.

The prescription medication was a generic form of Lyrica, which is used to nerve pain and seizures.

69-year old James William Whitaker Jr. of Silver Creek was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of meth, and driving under the influence of drugs.

65-year old Carey Lamar Chisolm of Silver Creek was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of meth, and a probation violation.

He was also charged with abandonment of dangerous drugs after he threw the pills and a baggie of meth.

42-year old Alicia Leigh West of Rome is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects, and possession of a controlled substance by an inmate.
