Floyd County Jail Records –
A Rome couple was arrested on Monday by the Floyd County Police Department at their Summerville Road Residence and charged with two counts of cruelty to children in the 2nd degree, 2 counts of contributing to the deprivation of a child, and cruelty to animals.
According to Floyd County Jail Records, Officers went to the home of 44-year-old Jon Nicholson and 34-year-old Paige Nicholson after their children were dismissed from school for allegedly having animal feces on their clothing and also for having a strong odor.
Officers stated when they entered the residence they discovered that the two children were found in deplorable living conditions and also that the floor in the home was caving in. A neglected dog was also found living in the home.
